Are You Afraid Of The Critic?

Where does the fear of critic come from? In fact nobody knows what originated this fear, but we know that the human being suffers it in a very widespread way.

Perhaps this is a consequence of our daily fight for the status, and either we know that other ones are really worth more than us, or they find something to criticize in us.

This fear so ingrained in the human being and that so much good would make us take out from us it is on the other hand a very important element to keep in mind if we are in commerce, because every year it reports juicy benefits, creating fashion articles.

Another reason why the fear of critic is today so strong, might be the little flexibility that the rulers of most of the countries have to receive critics (in some countries a critic can cost the life of a person).

The fear of critics destroys the capacity to imagine, the trust in itself, and the initiative of the individual, mainly if that critic comes from people whom he respects, like his own parents.

The critic has such a strength coming from people that we respect that sometimes reaches the value of the prophecy: how many mothers that raised their children telling them sentences like “if you keep on doing that, you will finish being a criminal as your father” found themselves spending their weekends making visits at some penitentiary.

Of all the services of which today we can enjoy, perhaps the most abundant to find is that of the critic. We find it all around us, and everybody seems to have an abundant stock to provide us; being generally the worst our own relatives.

Lack of naturalness: that it will be expressed with constant twinkling, stupidity in the movements, shyness and fear to be contacted by strange people

Lack of serenity: that it will be noticed as edginess in front of the other ones, lack of voice control and poor memory

Weak personality: lack of stability and slowness in the taking of decisions, lack of personal charm, impossibility to stand for something, and the tendency to grant the reason to the other ones; and to accept defeat without protesting.

Inferiority complex: the habit of boasting in front of others usually hides an inferiority feeling. To criticize others on their back and to flatter them in their presence; shows a great inability to accept the reasonable critics to our own errors.

Competition Attitude: this is the habit of spending more than we can, to be to the neighbor’s height, and to imitate others in the way they express or dress themselves.

Lack of Initiative: this takes us to waste the opportunities of progress, because of the lack of trust in our own ideas, and fear to express our opinions.

Do You Know That It Is Good To Have Fear?

Why must we consider the fear as good?

When one speaks of the fear, I believe that the first thing that it is necessary to highlight that being afraid it is good, it is something necessary in our learning process, since it teaches us to avoid dangerous things as putting our fingers into the plug, to cross the street without looking to the sides, etc.

But the fear is not something natural, but rather it is something learned. The babes only fear two things:

* The strong noises

* To fall down

And their parents teach them to fear all the other things that they fear. I know that they do it with the intention of protecting the baby, although they sometimes exaggerate and end up raising fearful children.

When a child suffers pain, he knows perfectly well that he doesn’t like that, because he is experiencing it in his own flesh and blood, he doesn’t need anybody to explain to him that that is bad; but when an adult inculcates fear in a children, he doesn’t know what to expect, he doesn’t know exactly what is it that it’s going to happen, and everything is left to his imagination. In some cases this can end up with an unjustified extreme fear.

The changes also produce fear for the same reason, because we don’t know with what we will meet in the new situation, and this not knowing what is it what will happen to us, can sometimes be paralyzing. That is to say that the fear is a natural reaction toward the new, and that the unknown usually produces insecurity feelings.

If the fear is inculcated by other people, in the same way it can be removed by other people when they offer us their protection.

The fear is in fact an emotion that you can accept and refuse. If it comes to us and we allow him to stay, it scares us, if we think a lot about the possible unpleasant consequences, it grows; but if we refuse it, it reduces itself and ends up disappearing.

The counter attack measures will depend on the age of who suffers it. If it is a child he will need to feel the protection of the adults, and to know the reasons why he should not fear what he fears, while when it is an adult, it is necessary to learn how to control the thought processes.

It is important to understand that: The fear is real for the one that suffers it!

When somebody tells us that he is afraid, we might think that he has not reasons to feel what he feels, but we should not doubt that he is afraid, and it doesn’t matter if we find it reasonable or not.

The fear is not solved diminishing the one that has it, nobody stops being afraid because someone tells him that it is ridiculous to be afraid. Fear can only be controlled attacking its roots, and its roots are inside the mind of each one.

To fear is not only normal, to fear is good and you can learn why

A Good Example Of An Useless Fear

We should have fear to the birth and not to the death

fear of death

Since we all must die. This is truly an useless fear, but not an inappropriate fear, since an inappropriate fear is the one that can not harm us or one that we can not avoid.

The illuminated human being is immune to the death, he has the power to choose the moment in which he wants to die, and his death will also lead him to the salvation of the wheel of births.

In fact we should have fear to the birth and not to the death.

The death can be our step toward a better life, while the birth is always a step toward this life´s suffering
Some people are so afraid to the death that ignores the topic as if it won’t happen to them. Others think morbidly about the death, and the fear that they have, prevents them to live and to enjoy life fully.

Related with the death there is a fear that is truly appropriate and it is the only one that we should have:

The fear of a useless life

It has an useless life the one that has not known how to take advantage of his life to get ready for the death, and it increases his karma instead of reducing it.

Nobody can avoid the death, (except for the realized ones) but we all can get ready for the death, and the one that has lived aware of the unavoidable of his death, and has gotten spiritually ready, when the death arrives, he can receive it in peace like the arrival of the moment of the rest, the moment in which he will receive all the prizes accumulated by his merits.

The death is something that exists as a constant reminder that invites us to fill with our lives with meaning. We know that we must die, we know that we will be judged for what we made, and this should serve us like a guide. Otherwise, there won’t be way to protect us from what comes later.

The one that is in peace with the idea of the death, not only has achieved an equanimity that is impossible to find in the non religious men, but rather it is able of sharing his peace to the friends and relatives that are next to the death.

This world is like an airport to which we arrive after having abandoned another airport, and of which we will leave again to continue our trip.

But which must be our destination?

That depends entirely on us.

In this trip between life and life, we arrive alone to the airport, we leave alone and only we can decide to not be alone during our present life.

When we arrive we don’t bring any baggage neither any baggage will we be able to take when we live, it doesn’t matter how much money, power or social position we had achieved in this life. In the moment of our departure we can only take with us the impressions of our virtuous or harmful actions in our causal body.

The one that ignores the death and wastes his life accumulating what he won’t be been able to take, (many times carrying out harmful actions to get it), it has only one destination: a new port with a heavy karma.

But the one that as he knows that he will die, he thinks about the sense of his existence, and ends up understanding that his spiritual development is the only reason for which he has been born, that one knows that he should not be afraid to the death, and should only be afraid of an useless life that will cause him a new birth in this plane of the reality.

If you suffer fear you can eliminate it practicing with my CD # 32 “Miedo” (in spanish only)

Psychic Healing And Karma

The psychic healing allows us to have a healthy mind and body. And from the spiritual point of view, psychic healing allows people to recognize their pure and luminous nature.

The being’s pure nature is never contaminated, it is only darkened by the ignorance, and it is for this reason that the psychic healing is possible, and it shouldn’t only be an interest of the sick persons, but an objective of the whole humanity.

At the same time psychic healing is also the capacity that has any individual of transmitting healing spiritual energy to another individual.

The healing looks for to reestablish the health there where the illness has originated, and that place is not necessarily the physical place where the ailment has shown.

A psychic healing can alleviate the pain, restore the lost functions and even improve the quality of the chronic patients’ life. For that reason, it is highly advisable when a patient arrives to a plateau in his improvement, or he recovers in a smaller measure than what was expected.

The psychic healing is a way to let the past behind and walk toward God, I should say that it is not an alternative medicine itself, but rather a therapy that should be used as a complement of the treatment prescribed by the doctors in each case.

Before anything else it is necessary to clarify what’s the karma. Karma is a Sanskrit word that means action. Not only physical action, but also thought in action and word in action.

On the other hand the karma is also the law of cause and effect, that is to say that the words, thoughts and actions of our past lives, generate impressions in the causal body, which then are manifested as the karma by which we have to go through in this life (we must also add to it the karmic consequences of what we do in this life)

Talking about the psychic healing, we can say that the illnesses that we suffer in this life, are the karmic consequences of what we did in the past. That is to say that when the karma matures, the illness manifests itself.

We all have a nature that is pure, luminous, and that it is not contaminated by any mental factor, but when the poisons of the attachment and the ignorance, become part of our mind as a karmic consequence, the physical manifestation of the illness takes place.

NO, there are four different causes for the illnesses:

The environment: where all kinds of illnesses transmitting microorganisms exist (that attack us faster when there’s lack of hygiene and stress).

Bad feeding: not well balanced diets, insufficient and inadequate feeding (excess of fat, consumption of red meats, alcohol, excess of fried food, etc.)

Subtle energy: Subtle negative energy that can come from other human beings and from the astral plane.

The karma: although I have highlighted it as the fourth item, the karma is in fact not only a source of illnesses, but a source that contains and causes the three previous causes.

The emotions, the attitudes and the beliefs, can also have a negative effect in the person’s health, but the health is ultimately determined by the karma.

If you want a short and direct answer:YES, psychic healing can heal everybody. But this question deserves a special explanation.

If psychic healing can be applied to everybody, does that mean that all terminal sick persons can heal?

YES, the psychic healing can heal even the terminal sick persons. although they might end up dying, since the physical cure of the illness is not always possible.

The first thing that we should understand is that everybody will die in some moment, either for a terminal illness, or for a slide in the bathing tub. Then the objective of the healing is not to avoid a person death. This is outside of the reach of any human being.

The psychic healing embraces a much wider concept than the idea of avoiding the death, the psychic healing goes beyond the idea of life and the death, because in fact it is looked for to heal the mind, to heal what has caused the appearance of the karmic illnesses.

A person can recover from a sickness and not be healed from it, this way the karmic roots of that illness might make it appear again in this same life or in the following one, or they will make the person go through similar pain situations until he learns what the karma intended to teach him.

Psychic healing doesn’t require the patient to believe in what the healer believes, neither that he understands what his healer does, reason why it is not a faith cure.

The psychic healing and the medic science work on two different aspects of the human being. The psychic healing looks for to eliminate the karmic causes of the illness, while the medic science look for to eliminate the physical manifestations of the illness.

Then if the doctor prescribes us a medication, it is necessary to take it and to continue in full with the treatment as he prescribed it until the end of the physical manifestation of this illness (if it is possible to achieve it) .

Once we have been able to eliminate the physical manifestations of the illness, we might consider ourselves cured, but this is not necessarily true. If the illness has had a karmic origin, and the person has not received a psychic healing, that same illness or another situation that makes the person go through the same kind of experiences, will show up again.

It is necessary to take appropriately care of the body because it is the temple of our soul, but it is also necessary to be in charge of the person’s mind and to look for its psychic healing, until the person becomes an illuminated one. Then and only then it will be able to enjoy the full healing.

The illumination is a state in which the person is able to take contact and conscience of his true spiritual nature, and it is also said that an illuminated person is a person that has wakened up of the dream of his existence or from Maya’s illusion.

An illuminated person is a person that is able to eradicate suffering from his life, although the pain can continue being part of is existence, because the illuminated has interpreted the reality as it really is.

The answer to what is required to heal could not be simpler: what is required to heal is to have a sincere desire to do good, a disinterested desire to do god to someone else.

Once you have the desire to do good, you need to offer yourself to God, so that it uses us as a healing channel.

This is the reason why the healer can not be affected by the sick person’s negative energy, neither he should fear in any way the damage of his own energy, since it is not his own energy the one that he should transmit, he is only acting as a channel for the Divine energy.

Does the healer need to be a saint or a person of superior nature?

I believe that the best answer that can be given is an image: If for a dirty channel runs water, water doesn’t care how dirty it is the channel, water will always be water. And while in the physical plane the water can be contaminated, in the spiritual plane the Divine energy is always pure and uncontaminated, and it doesn’t care about the purity of the channel that it uses.

Any person that gets consciously and energetically ready can practice healing, because the power to communicate with God and to offer oneself like a tool for the healing of others, it is a helping ability inherent to all human being

It is important to remember that we don’t heal with our energy, we are only the channels through which the Divine energy flows, reason why the Divine intervention, doesn’t conclude when we finish our healing exercise, but rather the healing continues acting on the other person for as much time as God considers it necessary.

In fact all healing exercises should go accompanied by a teaching by which we acknowledge the sick person that we will help him to establish an energetic connection with The Supreme Being, but that he can also request it without our help.

The older healing practice that is known is the Ayurvedic Medicine that it has being practiced in India for about 3500 years. But there are many other healing arts among which we can highlight the Reiki, the Thai Chi, the Yoga, the Mind Control, the Transcendental Meditation, etc.

I have written for you two exercises that can help you in this topic (they are both in Spanish only):

How to heal yourself (CD # 34)
How to heal others (CD # 39)

In some cases a single practice of the healing will be enough, but it is generally a process of progressive improvement, for that reason you shouldn’t get discouraged if immediate results are not obtained.

The energy transferred by means of the healer transforms the patient, he will feel more calm down and confident and he will surely have a change in its attitude and in the quality of its life.

The chakras are thousands of energy centers that are distributed throughout the whole body, although there are 7 bigger chakras that are aligned along the spine, from the root, to the crown.

Most of the healing methods among which we can highlight the Acupuncture, the Do In, the Shiatsu, and the Reflexology work over the energy points of the smaller chakras, but as the Aura is an energy that depends on the energy flow of the chakras, you can work on any part of the body to produce a healing.

The chakras of a healthy person are open and they work in a harmonic form, affecting this way all the functions of the body. While in a sick person they are blocked or they work in insufficient way.

The base of the healing is the restoration of the good flow of the energy through the chakras.

When a group of people unites themselves to request for the healing of a person, the healing effect is increased because the multiple channels through which the love of all the participants and the Divine energy work, are united.

And when the healing is practiced using the visualization, then the physical limitations of the distance disappears, that is to say that a healer may heal people that are not physically next to the healer.

The distance healing is something that today is more easily accepted by the western science, since the experiments of the French Quantic Physical Alain Aspect, have demonstrated that: even when a couple of subatomic particles are separated in the space, what happens to one of the particles can have effect on the other ones.

There have also been carried out experiments where the DNA of donors located 80 Km away from the donors, have reacted in the same way than the donors, under emotional stimulation.

The basic procedure for he healing it is to place the hands of the healer over the affected person’s sick area, and to imagine that God uses us like a channel, so that through our hands the positive energy is transfused to the patient.

When the hands imposition technique, is practiced with the positive visualization, then the healing becomes a tool that can be used to help distant patients. The use of certain symbols and rituals, as the use of candles, incense and glasses of water are more to propitiate the creation of a mental state for the healer and the patient.

The healing is in fact only a special way of praying, and in the prayer one puts the hands over the patient, and at the same time request the help of God who will ultimately decide how and when the fruits will be picked up.

There is a relationship between healing and karma

Ki The Universe’s Energy

KI is not confined to specialized fields such as Oriental medicine, but the whole oriental view of life is based on seeing all of life as ki.

When we consider the human being as a manifestation of ki we can distinguish several stages of ki energy on him

KEK KI (Kek stands for Ketsu or blood) It is our most fundamental ki because it constantly nourishes de body

SHIO-KE salt ki or ki of minerals

MIZU-JE that’s the water ki or ki of liquids

DEN KI that literally means “ki of thunder” is the ki of the electricity that runs constantly through our bodies

JI KI that can be translated as the “gathering force ” the “attracting power” or the “magnetism”

REI KI that’s the ki of the spirit or “the invisible force of the soul”

All these stages of Ki come from SHIN KI or God-ki (the source).

Rei Ki (the ying yang) is born out of Shin Ki, and between ying and yang, Ji Ki (magnetism) arises, and next appears the vibration in the form of electricity (Den Ki) is produced. Then atmosphere water and minerals are formed. We take all these different kinds of energy in the form of food, and transform them into Kek-ki or blood, that nourishes our body.

Our bodies receive Ki from two different sources:

Ying Ki Energy that comes from the outside world. These energies come from cosmic rays, sun rays, moon rays, humidity, temperature, sound waves, people radiations, etc.

Ying is the centrifugal and expanding force of the Universe. It attracts Yand and it repels Ying.

Yang Ki Energy that comes into our bodies from liquid and solid foods, that are then transformed into blood. The Yang ki feeds organs and tissues and determine their quality .

Yang is the centripetal force of the Universe. It attracts Ying and it repels Yang.

The interaction of these two energies enables our body to function. Both of them are continuously changing into each other: when Yang reaches its extreme, it changes into Ying and vice versa.

Ki es then the activity, the movement, the energy of vibration generated beween the Ying and Yang poles.

It activates and charges our organs. The intensity and quality of the Ying Ki that we receive depends on our Yang Ki.

If we do not move (yang) our body, our Yang Ki looses its yang properties and no longer attracts the Ying ki. Similarly if we constantly over eat, the Yang Ki becomes stagnant and we can’t be charged actively by the Ying ki. We might have a good blood quality but over eating and not moving our organs will be charged with a minimal charge.

On the other hand, if we eat very yang food in small amounts we become so charged of Ying ki, that we start to act wild, we shout, we become anger, etc.

As a symptomatic remedy, adjusting Ying Ki by the means of acupuncture can only work in the short term. But for a long term healing, the Yang ki must be normalized.

The japanese word for “human being” is HITO. Hi means sun, and To means spirit or ghost. In other words for the japanese we are “fire ghosts” because they consider that the human body is nothing else than very dense energy, that has the characteristic of continuously create a temperature that’s different from its surroundings.

We know now that this “fire mass” is created by millons of cells that have seven main central heting furnaces named The Chakras. And this “fire mass” can only continue to exist if fuel is added from time to time, and our fuel is our food and drink, plus air.

At the moment of deciding what kind of fuel we will use we have several options.

Quick burning fuel that creates a stronger temperature for a short period, or slow burning fuel as the polysaccharides. Slow burning fuel is superior is superior for many reasons and one of them is that one does not need to eat very frequently when consuming slow burning fuel.

We can choose a fuel that needs to be suplied in large amounts (like meat), or fuel that only needs to be suplied in small amounts

We can choose fuel that can be stored easily or which decays rapidly. In ancient times that wasn’t even a choice because as they didn’t had refrigerators, they had to choose foods which tend to decay slowly when stored for large periods.

We can also choose fuel that leaves residues after being burned (like oil does), or the ones that burn cleanly and completely not producing residues

We must remember that we have seven chakras ant that each one of them needs a different kind of fuel, and if we consume refined foods we will only feed some of them.

And which are the wholesome foods which can be easily stored and which burn slowly, which are sufficient in small amounts, and burn without leaving much residues to give us the healing ki energy? The staple foods of the macrobiotic diet: whole grain, whole vegetables, whole beans and whoe sea vegetables (which has being the diet of most of the human being through world history).

Energy Healing And Its Relationship With The Human Energy Fields

The laying on of hands, also known as energy healing, energy therapy, bio-energy therapy, bio-field therapy and energy work, promotes healing by enhancing the energy flow and correcting disturbances in the human aura that surrounds the body. This improvement of the flow of aura’s energy supports the self-healing capacity of the body.

The laying on of hands is an old healing modality that is making its way back into our lives in a revival of ancient understandings. All around the world people is learning how to sense energy, move their energy and they are rediscovering energy healing therapies.

The application of energy fields for healing, implies the generation of a magnetic field strong enough to produce changes in the body without harming it, and that field should be refined enough to treat specific illness, because treating the aura with a large frequency spectrum is not enough.

Vibration healing or the laying on of hands can restore people to a state of health and harmony in four planes:

* Physically
* Mentally
* Emotionally
* And spiritually

Is there any other kind of healing?

No there is not! Everything that exists is energy, so every healing involves energy although most healing methods are only focused on the physical level.

Energy healing works over the energetic level of our being, and from there it influences the physical, emotional, mental and the spiritual level.

Energy healing is then a holistic healing method, because it addresses the energy of which the body mind and emotions are composed, complementing and supporting the other healing methods.

The vibration healers treat people by using pure energy that affects the energetic system acting as a type of wave-guide to redirect or realign the affected subtle energies.

Energy healing and energy medicine

Energy healing works through the laying on of hands, and is only part of a wider field called Energy Medicine that uses crystals, herbs, sound or mind control.

All of them work over vibratory patterns which influence the energetic patters at work in the physiology

Some healers like to employ crystals or other tools to produce energy healing, but energy healing if more often produced by the interaction of the healee with the healer in the energetic level. (Excellent references on energy medicine are Richard Gerber’s Vibration Medicine and James Oschman’s Energy Medicine.)

The human energy fields

The physical body that we see in a mirror is not the only one that we have; we also have an energy field that surrounds us named The Aura. The physical body is our most dense expression of energy, and we also have many other bodies sometimes called the subtle bodies

There are many different descriptions of our aura, but most of them describe it as having different layers.

There are also other important energy centers named the chakras where important exchanges of energy take place and that are also influenced by the energy healing.

What science says about energy healing

On the western civilization knowledge is acquired through the “trial and error method” or the “scientific method” but this is not the only way of gaining knowledge or maybe I should say that the “scientific method” only gains knowledge through the information that our senses provide us, but there are other ways of gaining knowledge that eastern civilization believe to be equally valid.

“Scientific method” can only prove what we can perceive through one or more of our five senses (“seeing is believing” we say), but there are those who are able to perceive through higher sense perception

But it has also being found that the observer affects the object of observation through the act of observing, so there must be something that happens in some other kind of energy field that our scientific do not accept as real by now.

And modern science is making every day discoveries about new healing methods that are consistent with the idea of influencing the human energy field with other energies (sound, heat, etc.)

Undoubtedly very few scientists will accept the idea of energy healing, but there are beginning to be some researches that indicate that healing does have an effect. Herewith I will mention only one, but you can read about the others below in the References.

A scientific experiment

The following experiment proved that therapists practicing non-contact healing methods are able to induce significant changes in the energy field of blindfolded test subjects.

An individual was isolated behind a divider and a conductivity (or Kirlian) image was taken of his finger.

The practitioner drew a card on which the word “brighter” was written (he was the only one in the room to see the card), then he proceeded to move his hands around the test subject without touching him, in attempt to make the conductivity image of the test subject brighter

Then another image was taken after 3 minutes of attempting to increase conductivity.

The photos clearly indicated that the practitioner successfully increased the energy when he attempted to do it, and then decreased the brightness of the test subject conductivity without touching him when he was instructed to do so.

The brighter and smoother images observed after the experiment not only indicated that the test subject’s energy changed, but also that an effective therapy was administered.

NOTE: If you want more information about this experiment you can find it at the CHI Institute (look on the web for chiexplorer

What does the science know about the human body’s energy fields?

These energy fields are quite measurable and there is strong evidence that known biophysical mechanisms can account for the observed phenomena.

All of us know that the human body has some electric fields that can be measured with techniques as EMG, EEG and EKG, ant that electrical signals are produced and received by the body.

In 1963 at Syracuce University it was also reported the first measurement of the magnetic field of the human heart, and in 1971 a superconducting magnetometer named SQUID was used to measure the Brain’s magnetic field.

In 1991 Seto and colleagues measured the magnetic field between the hands of healers and was established to be less than 1% or the heart’s magnetic field. And if the heart magnetic field can regulate biological functions it is certainly feasible that the magnetic field coming out from the hands of the healers might also influence biological functions.

In 1989 Del Guiudice verified the existence of the Josephson junction, a superconducting semiconductor present in the living tissue

In 1993 McCraty discovered that the DNA acts as a superconducting magnetic field detector, able through the Hall Effect to detect and produce magnetic signals, and to act as a signal amplifier.

Thus the modern science has discovered many mechanisms by which it is possible for healers to produce magnetic and electric healing energy to influence the patients. (Those who want more information about this matter can read “The Scientific Basis of Energy Medicine” written by James L. Oschman in 1998)

What does the healee feel?

After an energy healing session, the healer can experience significant and substantial shifts in mind, body and spirit.

He can either experience a reduction or elimination of the symptoms, or a sense of love, acceptance and deep letting go.

Author of more than 35 books, including Telepathy, Parapsychology, Spiritual Healing and others, Mr. Azeemi has helped millions of people through his unique style of healing where he applies the principles of Parapsychology along with color therapy, respiratory exercises and various techniques of meditation for the treatment of most common ailments and disorders of our time. For instance, he recommends meditation of visualizing Green color light for treating High Blood Pressure or hypertension and so on. Each color, according to him, has specific healing characteristics and their imbalance is the major culprit behind various disorders ranging from High Blood Pressure to skin disorders as well as psychological problems.

“What’s great about color-meditation is that it does not result in any physical exertion, the way other exercises normally would like running or biking”. This was stated by Dr. Faiyaz Hakim, M.D., a physician at the UMass Memorial Healthcare at Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer, Massachusetts. A life long follower of Sufi-Master Azeemi, Dr. Hakim has been conducting weekly meditation classes at the Wing Memorial since 1997.

He added,” I have advised many of my patients this unique type of meditation with tremendous results. I believe the goal of any good physician is to make his or her patients rely less on medications and more on healthy life style. That is why doctors usually recommend doing exercises and other helpful activities. With meditation there are no chances of a knee injury or shortness of breath or anything else that are normally associated with physical activity and you can do it rain or shine in the privacy of your home”.

The 175 page Hardcover book is a practical guide to Sufi Meditation techniques with emphasis on Spiritual Healing through color therapy and mediation and breathing exercises. You Must Know That Depression Can Kill You

Unfortunately the depression is today statistically one of the first causes of death

And the question that immediately arises after this statement is…

Hoy have we reached this point?

The answer is that the civilization does not evolve equally in all its fields. Today we can find in our homes, things that where unbelievable only 100 years ago, but there are also great social inequities, with a level of information never reached before, and the fact that we can instantly know all the bad things that happen around the world (good news don’t sell well), plus a constant publicity bombarding that tells us that there are people that live much better than we do, or that we lack of what it’s necessary to be really happy…

Before these facts, some trend to migrate to other countries, to places where they will be foreigners forever, and where they will only reach (if they do it) a partial social adaptation, generally evolving among other groups of immigrants that have their same origin.

Others (in fact most of the people) will feel frustrated because they can’t reach “that” that it’s shown to us as so desirable and common for other people. Some will then opt to become a delinquent to get it any way, or for a frenetic fight to reach it (that many times ends up with their lives), or just will just become depressed.

So with all our technology the suffering has grown up and today’s uneasiness produce a growth of the depressive situations.

Marriage has also become a victim of the changes of the era, and while for our grand fathers was an unspeakable word, and for our fathers a not so often problem, today people gets divorced not only in alarming proportions, but we can also easily find people that have gone through three of four important couple breaks.

And all this loses, although today’s society doesn’t condemn them, are to be assumed and processed through stress, suffering and depression.

What is the depression?

There isn’t a general agreement about what the depression is. For some professionals is a reaction to a de-compensation, while others consider it a real sickness.

But there isn’t an only kind of depression, because among this group we will find:
* The mourning for the lost of a dear one
* The melancholy
* The lack of hope
* The frustration
* The sadness
* The bipolar illnesses
* Some chemical organic malfunctions
* Etc.

It’s obvious that we must distinguish between a chemical organic malfunction (as the lack of Lithium), from the depression produced by the lost of our job, the bipolar illnesses (where people go from depression to extreme exiting), or the sadness because we have being rejected for someone that we love.

There are some mourning processes that are not only normal but even desirable. We can’t pretend to be immune before the painful life’s circumstances, because the only logic thing is that they hurt us, and that we recover from them with a healthy psychic recovering process.

But the differences in the reactions come from two different causes:

First: There isn’t an agreement (and it can’t be) about what should produce depression and what shouldn’t. Each individual has his own value scale, and what for some is an annoyance, for other is the cause of a great pain, and for a third one could be a drama.

Second: It’s not the same when life strikes one that has a good relationship with his body, his family and his friends, that when it does it to someone that feels absolutely invaded by the situation, and doesn’t know (or doesn’t have) where to go to receive support.

How does it feel to be depressed?

Only one that has suffered it, can know what does it feel to be depressed, but in general the depression is a soul fall, a state of grief many times merged with frustration, self reproach, and a lack of will to meet people or do things.

It’s a moment when people trend to close over their own selves, a moment where they build as a dark cocoon where the victim gets into, and feels that no one can help him or understand what he feels. It’s a feeling that invites to stay alone in a dark room.

But all these are only generalities, only each person knows how he feels, and every person reacts as they can or as they know. Some overload themselves with activity, as a way of denying what they feel, some ask for help, and others know within themselves how to overcome that situation.

What is important is to know that being depressed is normal, that to some is more painful than to others, but it’s only one of the normal reactions of the human being. It’s not an incurable sickness, or something strange that only happens to us. It’s only a problem, an obstacle on our way, and as such it can be overcome.

It is also important to say, that one thing is the person that goes through a mourning that takes a short time, and day by day is left behind, and other thing the person that sinks into a melancholy state where the mourning becomes eternal and begins to merge with their daily life because they are not able to recover from it..

Is the depression something serious?

Suffering is no doubt something serious, and most for the one that suffers. For that reason we mustn’t think that who’s depressed is pretending or doesn’t’ have why to be depressed or for so much time.

Each one lives his mourning as he knows or as he can, and it is not something that we choose, it’s something that it’s felt. Then, the first thing to consider is that no one makes a mistake with his feelings

When a person feels desolated, sad or depressed, we can agree or not if the reasons to be depressed are enough or if the time that it takes is too much, but we can’t think that they are wrong, if they say that they are depressed we must believe that they are not feeling well, and see if we can help them to come out from that situation.

The depression is something that should be taken seriously, and it’s something that we should tell to our doctor, because as I have said before, sometimes comes because of a lack of certain chemical products in our body, and sometimes lead to the suicide.
It should also be considered that the depression state it’s something not so easy to identify oneself.

The depressed person has a distorted vision of the reality. “Everything depends on the color of the glass through which you watch at”, and who’s depressed sees everything through a dark glass, and not always is able to be aware about what he needs to come out from there, and much less how to come out from there.

The depression is today one of the first causes of death so you must learn what depresses you and how to solve it
